Ensure Technologies and KSI Keyboards partner to introduce the KSI-1700 keyboards with built-in XyLoc® readers for secure PC authentication with walk-away security.
Ann Arbor, MI – February 20, 2012. Ensure Technologies has partnered with Key Source International (KSI) of Oakland, CA to produce the KSI-1700 Keyboard with built-in XyLoc support. The new keyboard will be shown in both Ensure Technologies’ and KSI’s booth at the HIMSS 12 Trade Show being held in Las Vegas, NV during the week of February 20th.
According to John Dunlap, CEO of Ensure Technologies, “The KSI-1700 is a great solution for customers who want a keyboard with an integrated XyLoc reader, providing an optimal alignment between the user and the reader, eliminating the need to mount the XyLoc reader on the PC monitor”. The KSI-1700 keyboard is available with integrated XyLoc Active RF Proximity Card support or Passive RF (HID) card support, and an optional integrated fingerprint reader using the UPEK TCS1 reader, a FIPS 140-2 compliant fingerprint reader.
The Ensure Technologies software supports both Active RF and Passive technology card for authentication, as well as fingerprint reader support for second factor authentication. In addition, Ensure Technologies offers Single Sign On software for rapid access to the user’s application software, enhancing user productivity. The patented XyLoc Active RF technology is the only field proven solution that provides true walk-away security, meaning that when the user leave the vicinity of the PC, the workstation will automatically secure so that no access to the computer by unauthorized users can take place.
