Employees
today use a wide range of software applications,
from medical records to email clients. Providing
secure access to each application forces users to
remember dozens of different passwords, a practice
that takes the focus away from doing their jobs and often results in users forgetting passwords
and calling the help desk. |

Application Integration is an add-on module
available for XyLoc Enterprise or XyLoc MD that
simplifies the user experience by reducing the
number of password/ID combinations users need to
remember. And every time
a user steps away from his machine, the computer
and all of the sensitive information in its applications
are automatically secured. |

Comprehensive
Application Integration
Application Integration can provide customized application
integration in a variety of enterprise computing
environments. Up to 32 different applications can
be configured for each user on the XyLoc system,
and virtually any type of application can be integrated:
browser-based, server-based and even terminal
emulation-based applications. |

Secure,
Automatic Access to Applications
Application Integration is configured to launch
specified applications on demand without requiring
users to type in their passwords and user IDs. This not only eliminates the need for users
to remember additional credentials in order to access
different applications, but also the need for administrators
to constantly change user passwords to ensure application
security. Unlike pure single sign on products that
actually weaken application security, XyLoc also
provides strong authentication as well.

Personalized,
Convenient Security
Personalization is also greatly enhanced with
Application Integration. Access privileges can follow users
from workstation to workstation. An employee in
the human resources department, for example, will
require access to different applications than an
employee in the engineering department. If the HR
director is away from her office, but needs to access
sensitive information in an HR application from
the engineering department, she can approach a computer
that is not in use. This computer will know who
she is and will automatically log her on and launch
the applications she needs. Even though she is in
the engineering department, she will have access
only to her normal applications. |
