PAVILION TO SHOWCASE ENSURE'S PATENTED XYLOC WIRELESS PC SECURITY
CeBIT,
Hannover, Germany, February 24, 2000 –
Ensure Technologies, the award-winning leader in intelligent
PC security solutions, will demonstrate its patented XyLoc
wireless PC security solution at the Bluetooth
Pavilion this week at CeBIT, Hannover Faire, Germany, 24 February
- 1 March 2000. Ensure will be located at the Bluetooth
Pavilion, USA Office Automation Pavilion in Hall 1, Stand
5d4, Booth B-9.
"We're
pleased to be participating with our Bluetooth partners
at CeBIT," said George Brostoff, co-founder and president
of Ensure Technologies. "There is great momentum behind Bluetooth,
and XyLoc is a great business-to-business security application
that showcases Bluetooth technology. XyLoc will soon
feature Bluetooth smart cards that will be interoperable
with any Bluetooth device, whether it be a mobile phone,
PDA or PC. As more Bluetooth devices come to market,
security will become essential to protect these devices from
unauthorized access. Using XyLoc's patented technology, network
managers can easily load and manage digital certificates on
any Bluetooth PC, phone or PDA, which will add robust
security features to Bluetooth devices."
Ensure's
patented XyLoc is a centrally managed, automatic computer
security solution that prevents unauthorized access to confidential
PC-based information, and simultaneously makes access to network
services and applications more convenient for authorized employees.
XyLoc's unique, full-time access control technology protects
sensitive data when it is most vulnerable - after logon, when
the authorized user - for whatever reason - steps away from
the PC.
Bluetooth
(www.bluetooth.com)
is a collection of wireless telecommunications and computing
leaders. This group was founded in 1998 by Ericsson, IBM,
Intel, Nokia and Toshiba to create a global specification
for short-range, wireless connectivity. Since its founding,
the Bluetooth SIG has grown to over 1,200 members,
recently adding Microsoft, 3COM, Compaq, Dell, Hewlett-Packard,
Lucent, Motorola, Philips, Samsung, Siemens and Texas Instruments.
Ensure's XyLoc will feature Bluetooth smart cards that
will be interoperable with any Bluetooth device, whether
it be a mobile phone, PDA or PC. Using XyLoc, administrators
will easily load and manage digital certificates on any Bluetooth
device, delivering XyLoc's patented full-time access control
to multiple types of devices.
Suited
for professionals who need easy, yet secure, access to information
"on the fly," XyLoc is proximity-activated and completely
"hands-free," requiring no user interaction. Because it enables
the computer to know automatically and effortlessly who is
requesting access to its resources, XyLoc offers security
features and flexibility previously unavailable. XyLoc also
simplifies public key infrastructure (PKI) implementations
and protects digital certificates stored on PCs increasing
the security of e-commerce transactions. Other features/benefits
include:
- Convenience
- an authorized user approaching the PC is automatically
logged on to all appropriate services.
- Total
Security - the best and only way to actually guarantee
that the person using the computer is, and continues to
be at all times, the authorized user.
- Robust
Management Tools - event logs and audit trails are
provided automatically, detailing a history of PC usage
for effective security monitoring.
Organizations
can manage multiple XyLoc systems across their networks from
a central location using the centralized XyLoc Security Server.
XyLoc works with PCs, portables and workstations running Microsoft
Windows 95/98, Windows 2000 and Windows NT.
