Ensure's XSS gives Credit Valley multi-factor authentication and simplified sign-on that dramatically speeds and streamlines access to critical network resources, patient information and MEDITECH applications for emergency department physicians.
The Credit Valley Hospital, a 366-bed hospital located in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, experiences a high volume of patients in its emergency department, seeing close to 70,000 patients annually. It recently deployed MEDITECH's patient tracking software to improve the quality of care and to improve efficiencies in departmental processes. Doctors were initially required to log into the system with a user name and password, but they wanted something simpler and more responsive for their fast-paced environment. Using Ensure's XSS, Credit Valley's emergency department clinicians simply place a finger on an Authentec fingerprint reader for authentication and XSS's simplified sign-on automatically and securely logs them into the information and applications they need to provide quality care to their patients.
