Ensure Technologies, the award-winning leader in intelligent
wireless PC security solutions, today announced XyLoc™ 3G,
the third generation of its patented XyLoc wireless PC security
solution designed to deliver convenience, protection and personalization
to PCs and portables. XyLoc 3G delivers a host of features
that enhance both security and the automatic customization
of the user's computing environment.
XyLoc
3G features include:
- XyCrypt™,
an automatic file encryption technology that makes sensitive
information on notebook computers more secure than ever
before possible. XyCrypt File Encryption extends XyLoc's
convenience and security by automatically and transparently
encrypting the user's data files, creating an additional
and powerful level of information security. It prevents
unauthorized access to data files on the hard drive of a
notebook or desktop PC, even if other security measures
have been surmounted.
- Personalization
Wizard, an easy to use tool that enables users to specify
which applications and custom settings are launched as soon
as they log on to any XyLoc protected PC. Email clients,
calendars and other frequently used tools are now automatically
opened and ready when users approach their PCs.
- New
XyLoc KeyCard, a smaller form factor with extended battery
life and power saving modes. The new KeyCard offers an 18-24
month battery life, on/off buttons and a programmable shutoff
timer to conserve battery life when the KeyCard is no longer
in use.
- Support
for Windows NT 4.0 USB, a driver that brings all the
benefits of XyLoc and USB to PCs using Windows NT 4.0. This
support allows organizations to leverage their investments
in Windows NT 4.0 deployments without sacrificing XyLoc's
convenient security or the ease of use of USB ports.

XyLoc

the PC when the user returns (or require two-factor authentication
such as the entry of a password for an additional layer of
