Security Provider Closes Year With New Customers, Expanded
Deployments, Revenue Growth, and Industry Praise
Ann
Arbor, Mich., January 27, 2003 —
Ensure Technologies, the leader in secure information access
solutions, today announced that 2002 was a banner year for
the company in terms of customers, growth, and industry acclaim,
demonstrating the strength and versatility of the company's
award-winning XyLoc full-time access control solutions.
"We're
very proud of our success in 2002 and look forward to an even
stronger 2003," said George Brostoff, president of Ensure.
"Issues like identity theft, the protection and integrity
of medical records and financial records, and government regulations
like HIPAA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley are all prompting organizations
to closely examine their security infrastructure and policies.
We're not surprised that industry experts, such as Gartner
and IDC, predict that information security will be of greater
focus for organizations. But even with all of these factors,
organizations are still rightfully concerned with return on
investment, ease-of-use and integration into their existing
infrastructure. We believe that security solutions must provide
tangible benefits to end users to be truly successful."
Among
its achievements in 2002, Ensure closed new and expanded customer
deployments, received high industry accolades and introduced
enhancements to its XyLoc solution, including:
- New
and expanded customers including: Daimler Chrysler, Banner
Pharmacaps, Deloitte & Touche, City of Tulsa, Oklahoma,
Sanofi-Synthelabo, Schering Plough, Forest Health Services,

Bureau of Reclamation;

2002

Award for Best Security Solution for the second consecutive

attendees
- Positive
reviews in publications like SC Magazine and CNET's TechRepublic;

About
XyLoc
XyLoc
is a logical and convenient security solution that goes far
beyond authentication to offer full-time access control to
PCs, applications and network resources. It delivers transparent
and continuous security without taxing users with cumbersome
security protocols.
Additionally,
XyLoc solves productivity challenges as well as security concerns
by taking the burden of complying with security policies off
of users and making their PCs and applications more responsive.
Users in XyLoc-protected environments have immediate access
to their PCs and applications, while XyLoc secures their workstations
the moment they step away.
XyLoc
is unique in its ability to make authentication smart with
its ability to balance security and convenience. Administrators
can easily configure XyLoc to challenge for a password in
addition to the KeyCard for multi-factor authentication when
and where appropriate (e.g., when a user first logs in for
the day, but not every time they approach the PC thereafter).
Additionally, XyLoc's Single Sign On functionality eliminates
the need for the user to remember any additional user names
and passwords. However, as soon as the user walks away from
the computer, XyLoc secures the PC and the applications until
the user returns or another authorized user approaches.
Users
are recognized based on their proximity to their PCs. They
wear unique XyLoc KeyCards (that can also double as their
ID badge) that communicate securely with proximity detection
hardware and sophisticated software residing on each workstation.
A computer is unlocked only after XyLoc has identified and
authenticated a user.
