Ensure Technologies Awarded Federal GSA Contract

Simplified Procurement for XyLoc Full-Time Access Control and Proximity Authentication Solution Via GSA Schedule 70

Ann Arbor, Mich., June 7, 2004 -- Ensure Technologies, the leader in secure information access solutions, today announced it has been awarded a federal General Services Administration (GSA) contract covering the company's XyLoc™ full-time access control and proximity authentication information security solutions. This dramatically simplifies the procurement of XyLoc for federal, state and local government agencies. GSA Schedules offer the government a cost-effective and convenient process for securing technology services from companies, such as Ensure Technologies, with a proven track record of performance.

"We are pleased to have completed a key milestone in our distributed strategy," said Dr. Thomas Xydis, president of Ensure. "Ensure being awarded a GSA contract is a testament to XyLoc's proven performance within various government applications and agencies. We appreciate our customers who served as references for us and we look forward to the ability to serve this key market further through our GSA availability."

XyLoc is now available on GSA Schedule 70, which offers a wide range of information technology and telecommunications hardware, software and professional services to federal, state and local government agencies. Ensure's government customers include: U.S. Department of Justice; U.S. Bureau of Reclamation; U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Centers; United States Air Force; Military Traffic Management Command-Deployment Support Command (U.S. Army); U.S. Food and Drug Administration; General Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, MO; City of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Raymond W. Bliss Army Health Center, Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Ensure's XyLoc provides full-time access control to PCs and thin client terminals, continuously authorizing users without burdening them with cumbersome security protocols. Its patented technology protects confidential data when it is most vulnerable after logon, whenever the authorized user steps away from the PC. Users in XyLoc-protected facilities have immediate access to their applications and patient data and their workstations are automatically secured the moment they step away.

XyLoc is unique in its ability to make authentication smarter by balancing security and convenience. Users are recognized based on their proximity to their PCs. They wear unique XyLoc Keycards (that can also double as their ID badge) that communicate securely with proximity detection hardware and sophisticated software residing on each workstation. A computer is unlocked only after XyLoc has identified and authenticated an authorized user.
