Ensure Technologies Announces New Active Proximity Badge

YPSILANTI, MI - April 5, 2009 – Ensure Technologies, the leading provider of active RF proximity-based authentication solutions, announces a new generation of XyLoc active RF badges designed for workstation access in hospitals and clinics, as well as for asset tracking/locating application. Products by Ensure Technologies are an integral part of Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO) solutions, and the only technology that provides walk-away security.

The first product in this next generation of XyLoc active RF badges is the XC-K2 CardKey, also known as a badge. This new badge is rugged and water resistant, doubling as an ID badge when used with a CR-79 ID badge label. The XC-K2 is compatible with existing XyLoc Locks (readers), installed on the workstation.

Production quantities of the XC-K2 badge will begin shipping early in Q3 2009. Future versions of the XC-K2, scheduled for release later this year, will integrate MEMS technology for added functionality.

Ensure Technologies’ XyLoc product line utilizes patented RF technology to bring convenience to desktop security by recognizing authorized users, unlocking the computer as they approach, and locking it again as they walk away.
